Fanzine
Your submissions are hereby kindly requested and required for the 2008 HH Convention Fanzine.
Submissions must be an original work that has not been previously posted anywhere else. Submissions can be a traditional favorite (fiction, poetry, essay, art) or something new such as a word puzzle, cartoon or whatever strikes your fancy. All sumbissions welcomed, just keep them family friendly (PG-13) or we shall have to require the services of the bosun and his mate. The fanzine editor has the final decision as to what qualifies as PG-13. If in doubt, please be sure to email us ahead of time.
Please observe the following guidelines when making your submissions:
Written submissions should be no longer than 5,000 words total. Written entries should be emailed as a Word document compatible with Microsoft XP, in Times New Roman 12-point font.
Artwork should be digitally- or hand-drawn original work. NO PHOTO MANIPULATIONS. Artwork should be scanned and emailed in .jpg or .bmp format. The artist is responsible for making sure scanned work can be printed as a black and white image of decent quality, not to exceed 6 1/2 X 9 inches.
Submissions should be emailed to thenavalgazette@hhus2008.com and must be received by August 15, 2008 in order to be included in the fanzine.
We understand not everyone may have the means to provide entries in the required format. For alternate arrangements, please email thenavalgazette@hhus2008.com. We don't want to miss out on your wonderful submission.
Feel free to pass the above around to any fanfiction lists, etc., who might have people who are interested in participating! You don't have to be going to the convention to send something to the fanzine! Please help carry on the tradition of great convention fanzines by supporting this year's crew with your submissions!
